Psyche Species Suggestions
Psyche aims to generate a reference genome for all 11,000 species of Lepidoptera in Europe. However, phase I of the project will focus on sequencing phyletic diversity as well as species of particular importance to the community. To achieve this, Psyche is requesting species suggestions from the community.
Any species can be nominated provided it is found in Europe and is yet to be sequenced to the chromosome-level.
We are particularly interested in species which will benefit areas of research and/or have a societal impact, including agriculture, ecosystems, conservation and human health.
